On December 15, 2006 all of our online banking customers will be able to utilize MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) Your online security has always been a top priority. Now, we're implementing an additional layer of security to protect you from fraud. Introducing new Enhanced Login Security also known as MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication), a free and easy way to help prevent fraud. You will most likely see it referred to as Enhanced Login Security on our website. Sign up once and you're all set. It's that simple - the next time you log in, it's business as usual. The rest of your online banking experience will remain exactly the same. Superior Technology Means Maximum Security This superior security technology protects your identity from whatever computer you're using, whether at home, at the office, or on the go. It identifies you as the true "owner" of your accounts by recognizing not only your password, but your computer as well. If your computer isn't recognized by us - you've logged in from a public computer or one you haven't used before - we'll ask you to provide information that only you will know as an additional line of defense to prevent unauthorized access. What do you have to do? On December 15, 2006 , all online banking customers will be prompted to answer a series of challenge questions. These questions are also used to retrieve your online banking password if you forget it. For this reason, no matter if you decide to option into Enhanced Login Security, these questions must be answered. If you have already answered these questions prior to December 15th, it is still required due to the changes that were made to offer you MFA. After the Questions are answered you can either continue to log into online banking with just your username and password, or utilize the newly installed Enhanced Login Security to help protect against identity theft and fraud. We recommend opting into this feature as it is quickly becoming an industry standard. Go to online banking options. you may then select if you want to enroll the computer you're on. If you select "Add Extra Security" a 'cookie' will then be installed on the computer. You may decide to do this on any computer you regularly log on to, for example a home PC or a work computer. When logging into online banking from a public computer, a computer that is not enrolled or used frequently, you will be asked the challenge questions that you answered earlier. Once you answer these questions, it is business as usual!
