JTNB SUPPORTS SHRINERS

On Sunday, July 30, 2017 the Shriners Hospital for Children in Philadelphia held its annual Christmas in July.  Over 700 motorcycles and passengers traveled to the hospital to deliver presents for the children.  The street in front of the hospital was adorned with children, Shriner’s, Shriner clowns, family and friends, and motorcycles as far as you could see.  Santa was there for the children and presents were distributed.  Everyone opened their hearts for the kids on Sunday!  Shriner’s Hospital is open to any child free of charge.  No family is turned away.  So many people came out to put a smile on the little faces of those going through so much, but in the end those little faces made us smile and our hearts felt bigger at the end of the day!  It was the best experience!

Jim Thorpe Neighborhood Bank was kind enough to donate a check to the Children’s Hospital. The staff was so appreciative of the donation.

CONGRATULATIONS BETTY! YOU WILL BE MISSED!

GO JOE!

NewsWatch 16's Joe Sndeker participates in an annual bike ride to raise money for the St. Joseph’s Center in Scranton.  He kindly visited us and came through Jim Thorpe in July.  The donations help provide much needed programs and living services to children and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  This year was the 20th year.   Go Joe 20 raised $391,159 for the center!
